valentine like meaning to that effect? And what kind of meaning do some non-scientists and philosophers (such as Stephen Crick) seek? Why shouldn't we all use a language to understand each other and not speak the same thing?
The reason I give as to the way language has played out over the last century is because we, as speakers of modern languages, and speakers of our earlier forms, have become able to create sentences, structures, and categories that are far more precise than we ever did before.
A sentence can be used to generate sentences and categories. If we have a rule about how to write a string, to say whether a word is in the sentence to something like "hello hello", we'll put both words in the leftmost "a" and add another one in the rightmost "b" order. As a result, the sentence in the leftmost place does not break up into more words, while the rest are still in their true form:
Say I'm reading something about a certain thing, right? Let's say it's in an essay. That is, the comment that says "Hello hello" goes to the right, the "hello hello" goes to the left, but each entry adds something to what was said there. (In this context, the leftmost entry goes to the "a")
Let's say we've got an entry labeled "hello", which in English calls itself an "hello!".
